My friend, Vicki, got me interested in RSS last spring. The obvious great thing about it is that I have a spot (ONE spot) where I can get the latest feeds from my fellow 23 Things bloggers without having to go to my Firefox Bookmarks for each one separately. A real time saver. (I can also get the latest on the Texas Rangers!).
As a teacher, I keep lots of interesting, interactive music websites for class in my bookmarks. I could now create one spot that would organize and allow quick access to these sites. Students could even use the spot as the feeds are pre-screened and selected by me.
I'm going to try to make my reader list public, so more about that later!
BTW, I was not able to view the movie on RSS. When I clicked on the spot, a screen came up asking me to download Flash Player. Spent about 30 minutes trying to do this, but, just like the Google Earth problem, it wouldn't download properly, so I could not install the Flash Player plugin required to see the movie! Double Rats!

I didn't know you like the Rangers...anyway, I like your idea of getting the students to use the spot as the feeds are pre-screened by you.
