Thing #11

Loved Library Thing! The ultimate site for verbal/linguistic-interpersonal & intrapersonal learners to explore and use, plus connections for all other learning styles through particular subjects like "music", "modern art", "math", etc.

I did join and, as a simple exercise, added some 14 favorite Steinbeck works to my page. Was also able to add commentary or "review" information to the choices. In groups I found a small one called "steinbeck lovers" and was able to add a message, although I didn't understand exactly if you actually "joined" a group, or merely participated and therefore became a part of the group.

There seems to be a level of membership that is for pay, although I didn't explore it.

This would be a nice site for reading teachers to log books for the year; also useful for social studies, science, math, Spanish, art, music, even physical education.

BTW, look at the short skit at the end of this Thing...major time warp material, complete with numbing artwork. 1974 was a remarkable year, at least I think I remember that it was.

  1. Ah! Do you have a favorite Steinbeck novel? I like him, too, and always have a hard time choosing one above the other. You are doing so well in giving helpful hints to all of us and in summarizing the information you have "processed!" Thank you.
